National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW) this year is themed the #FacesOfTravel so we’re exploring the individuals behind-the-scenes at several of our visitor-related businesses. Learn more about Krystal Kast, incredible photographer, with vision that she amplifies through her work. She is part of a talented family; her husband, Maximilian, is a sommelier. Her brother-in-law, Alexander, is the owner of KastHuis (cheese consulting and purchasing) and planner Cheryl-Anne Kast is her sister-in-law.

Where have you worked/which jobs have you had before now?
Previous to owning my own company, I worked as the marketing assistant at Fearrington Village. Prior to that, I was the in-house graphic designer and photographer for Triple Creek Ranch, a Relais & Chateaux property in Montana.

Documenting milestones and capturing life’s happiest moments.
What keeps you at this job and in this county?
What do you find most special/significant about this destination (either Chatham County or your specific place of business or both)?
Chatham County is such a special place with a rich sense of community and grass root organizations. It is a thriving area and a great place to own a business as the community is so supportive.
Special thanks to Krystal for sharing her images for this feature. Her office is located at one of our lovely venues, The Parlour at Manns Chapel. Krystal Kast Photography’s office is shared with Kast Events.
