National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW) this year is themed the #FacesOfTravel so we’re exploring the individuals behind-the-scenes at several of our visitor-related businesses. Learn more about Yvette Navarro, talented and introspective, always friendly and kind professional. The CVB had the pleasure of meeting her as The Parlour at Manns Chapel was in the restoration stage and it was a treat to see it evolve into a space for multiple types of events, including yoga, workshops, intimate gatherings, weddings, and other dreamy and auspicious occasions.
What is your current title? What are your official, and unofficial, job duties?
Co Founder & No-nonsense Creative at The Parlour at Manns Chapel.
Duties: Technical wiz managing branding and marketing for the venue and studio, creating and executing concepts for workshops and creative gatherings.
Where have you worked/which jobs have you had before now?
Graphic design instructor and senior broadcast motion graphics designer.
What makes you happiest at your job?
Having a small part in creating long lasting memories for our clients’ special celebrations.
What keeps you at this job and in this county?
The commitment to bring life back into what is sincerely a special building to so many in this community.
What do you find most special/significant about this destination (either Chatham County or your specific place of business or both)?
That the chapel has been a part of this area’s history for 130 years and we are proud to be able to continue its place in Chatham County today.
