The Parlour at Manns Chapel

The Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center opens later this year, so we’d like to highlight a couple of misc 004venues already available to visitors and residents alike. We’re starting with the elegant yet comfortable Parlour at Manns Chapel, a restored church near Chapel Hill. Its approachable atmosphere and charming interior and exterior makes it the perfect place for your next wedding, workshop, meeting, or special occasion.

Pricing: They have a couple of cost guidelines, including vintage rentals, but a lot of events can be priced individually due to their unique nature.

100-guest maximum, but 75-80 guests make for a most comfortable evening for intimate gatherings.

Caterer options/criteria:
The Parlour allows guests to use approved and permitted caterers since the site does not have a commercial kitchen, and they must be full service caterers for large events. They also have to be licensed/certified. Some recommended caterers include Beau Catering, Durham Catering, and Snap Pea Catering, but you can use any caterer you’d like as long as they meet the requirements.

Basic Specs: 2600 square feet,Stamps New 1700 square feet for the chapel itself. It features a kitchen prep areas with built-in cabinetry and countertops, pine floors, hanging chandeliers, stained-glass windows, and two restrooms, both ge
nder neutral. The venue also offers a variety of vintage rentals, including chapel pews, a bar, podiums original to the chapel, and more.

Each event can be cuchair newstomized to unique customers’ liking, and the venue even offers an outdoor garden space that can be utilized for events as well.

Fun Fact: In 1991, the Parlour served as a setting for the romantic comedy Once Around, starring Richard Dreyfuss, Holly Hunter, and Danny Aiello.
