Carolina Brewery & Grill just opened its Pittsboro Bar Lounge and we can tell it’s going to be a big hit, with the two dartboards, TVs, and a place separate from the brewery for a small group. You can reserve it for private rentals of a two-hour time frame with a $200 revenue minimum on weekdays and a $300 revenue minimum on weekends. Once the old Hopshop, which has moved to the front of the restaurant, it’s a great gathering place. Many of our visitors who come back to town to watch the game (but couldn’t get tickets) have a place to enjoy a handcrafted brew and kick back with friends.
Carolina Brewery & Grill now offers free weekly tastings and tours, year-round events including Oktoberfest and the patio music series, seasonal menus, morning assortment of muffins and coffee, a place upstairs for meetings, catering on- and off-site, a local Saturday craft market, and more, all in an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The sausage and beer bread and cinnamon rolls are just a few of the popular items to order in advance (vacationing guests love to have these edible souvenirs to take home). The weekday specials, holiday menus, and the diverse atmospheres for couples or buddies or families makes it appealing for all ages.
Robert Poitras, owner, tells us, “As we approach our fifth anniversary, we are excited to offer this lounge area based on the wishes of our customers to have a comfortable place separate from the bar area. In addition, our Hopshop counter is better suited closer to our kitchen and our customers now have an easier option to pickup to go orders, buy merchandise and beer to go. We have also added electrical outlets in our dining room for computer use.”
Signature beers include Copperline Amber Ale, Flagship IPA, Sky Blue Golden Ale, and Oatmeal Porter. Check out their award-winning beers soon and visit in May for the NC Hops & Roots Fest, largely inspired by the great brews here and in the region.
